FIREFOX problems with ziddu
Ziddu is a free file hosting service that allows you to earn a bit of money for every file downloaded from your account. This is where I put my files that I link from this site.
Recently, Firefox 3 users experience trouble when accessing Ziddu or the files hosted there. They receive a Firefox security warning that it is suspicious and was reported as an attack site.
Firefox mentioned that malicious content was hosted on the site. Duh, of course! It’s a free hosting site and anybody can upload any kind of software that they want.
Anyway, I still feel that it’s safe to visit the site since according to Google reports, only 1 suspicious activity was reported over the past 90 days. Must be some poor guy who got duped into downloading a malware. Let’s just hope that Ziddu could fix this issue real soon.
To access my Ziddu-hosted files scattered all over my blog, use IE (or any other browser except Firefox) or adjust the security setting of your Firefox 3. I guarantee you that they’re clean.
